Linux Installations

Linux is now available as an alternative to Windows on your home desktop computer.

The advantage of Linux is cost: it doesn’t have to cost anything. It can do most things that other systems can, including word processing, spreadsheets, Web browsing, databases.

What Linux cannot do, is it cannot generally run programs that are written for Windows. If you’re prepared for that, then why not try it?

Linux can be installed on an old computer as long as it comes up to a minimum specification.

If you want a new computer system that will run Linux, then I can arrange this through one of my associates. This would be a high quality, very reliable Intel system, and not a cheap box. However, the cost of the computer itself would be offset by the zero cost of the software programs on it.
